International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2018 in Botswana

International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is a foresighted effort to stimulate young minds into discerning solutions to challenges of our environments (natural and human induced) using science as a tool. The multicultural participatory nature of the IJSO (with more than sixty countries of the world taking part in the competition) assures a global perspective to the search for solutions. IJSO provides a platform for interaction and cross fertilisation of global ideas from the young and it enhances probabilities of successful and impactful collaborations of future citizens of the world.

IJSO 2018’s theme, “Discovery, Innovation and Environment” propounds axiomatic existence of solutions to challenges of the environment. It asserts as a progressive response, concerted effort to search and find solutions through novel means that are environment conscious considering that the environment is the anchor of life. The Scientific Committee, comprising man and women of academic repute is responsible for constructing tests and of managing the impending competitions. The tests are constructed and premised on the general appreciation that life (its challenges and solutions to such) is a scientific phenomenon of varying biological, physical and chemical proportions.
